Hand-woven and hand-stitched coat. The back and front are dominated by large geometrical motifs.
This coat is hand-woven, and hand-stitched. Made with super kid mohair, using various different threads. The back and front are dominated by large geometrical motifs. Fastened with poppers. Silk lining. Soft, light and warm. A one-off piece. The prototype for this coat was a cape for 'Pantalone il Magnifico', a character in the commedia dell’arte. Later, I was commissioned to make it by Franco Zeffirelli for King Claudius in his 1990 movie 'Hamlet'.
Il prototipo di questo cappotto nasce come mantello per la maschera di pantalone il Magnifico della commedia dell’arte. In seguito mi è stato commissionato dal regista Franco Zeffirelli per il re Claudio nel film Amleto del 1990.
